This week we are marking Water Week 2025 (2-8 June), to rally businesses and communities together and inspire the next generation of water conservationists.
POC is a founding member of Water Week, a global campaign that puts children, young people, and families at the heart of water-saving action. Together with communities around the world, Water Week 2025 is creating a wave of awareness, advocacy, and hands-on learning — all to protect one of our planet’s most vital and threatened resources: water.
Launched in alignment with the United Nations Water Action Decade (2018–2028), Water Week champions global goals for sustainable water management and education. It’s also part of a wider global movement to protect 30% of the planet’s land and ocean by 2030 — known as the 30by30 vision. By mobilising everyday water-saving actions, Water Week helps build the culture of stewardship needed to make this vision a reality.
At its core, Water Week is about empowering young people in homes, schools, and communities to become leaders in the global movement for climate resilience and water justice. But it can’t happen without partnership.
The Water Week campaign is asking as many businesses as possible to take part and show their support on social media by filming a video of them doing a Mexican wave for water, tagged with #wavesofchange, in addition to getting their families involved with 10 simple family challenges.
